So, we were in 7/11 for a midnight munchie run when my husband hands me a tat mag. I seriously considered buying it right then and there, but 6 bucks was a little steep. Might go back and buy it anyways. At the very least I should have read the article, but it was late. Its not the first time some one has gotten a pony tat, but this is the first time I’ve seen them on the cover. How sic is that? I really might have to go buy the tat mag…
Wow, its been awhile since either Madame Royal or I have posted anything. But now that Summer has arrived, Im hoping to be a little more active. Starting with a vid on youtube. (moonshare is a youtube addict)
I don’t acctually wear makeup very often, if at all, but for some odd reason I love watching XSparkage and her tutorials. I recommend checking her out if you dig make up.
In regards to My Little Pony, XSparkage is doing a contest that involves inspiration from your favorite childhood cartoon. XSparkages childhood favorite is none other than MLP! I knew there was a reason I like her…
Anyways, check out the MLP inspired tutorial:
XSparkage MLP inspired tutorial
Also, here is the the contest information vid. She mentions MLP a couple of times in this vid too.

Now TAF Munchy was not a pony I was after, honestly I could care less if I found her or even bought her. She would have been one of those, when I need a pony to complete a series then I will look around for her. Well one day I bought a box of ponies from someone local here in Orange County, Ca, and there was TAF Munchy. A little bit dirty, but overall really minty.
Then I started to think… hmmm shes actually pretty cute, I kinda like her. So I gave her a spa treatment, every inch of dirt and grime was scrubbed away and her hair was washed with Pureology shampoo and conditioner. Now she was really sparkling, and I thought “Yeah ok I really like her, I shall keep.”
I guess when your not looking for a pony, or even have a real desire to own her, that it can really throw you for a loop and cause you to totally fall in love with her (or if its a big brother, him).
So pretty little TAF Munchy will now be on display in my computer/sewing/mlp/collecting/studio room. At least until I buy more storage containers.
Um, what the hell happened? Who is designing these things? The 2003 design was fine, I dont understand why they feel the need to change mlp-again. I don’t the new design, its breeching into the realms of the trendy ADHD generation. Granted, the new design is being aimed at little girls, but is it really nescacary to make them so damn ugly? Why cant they just be the magical talking ponies that they are? Now all they are just poser ponies. Makes me want to horde all G3 ponies I can before they change.

I was a bit on the skeptical side with the Newborn Cuties line. I thought they were cute and thought might be interested, but i wanted to wait until i saw them in person. During a pony spree at Target with Madame Royale, I met them.
From the other end of the isle i eyed them supisously and approached them with caution. As I bent down to lift them form the shelf, it happened. I looked into the eyes of Newborn Cutie Cheerilee
and BAM! In flash, my soul was stolen. I was never a big Cheerilee fan either. The power of these newborn is incredible. At least i wasn’t the only one….
While Moonshard was modest and picked up only Cheerilee, I was selfish and bought Sweetie Belle and Star Song… I couldn’t help myself. Once I saw these cute little faces in person, I was totally SOLD.
These newborn cuties sets really remind me of the first generation newborn twin sets, I LOVED those sets, they were hours of entertainment for me. I think these would have been too, even though I still old the G1 sets closer to my heart.
I am not sure which newborn cuties is my favorite, but I do know one thing, I NEED THEM ALL! Which explaines why on the day after Moonshard left I went to target to pick up Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and Scootaloo… which is a whole new G3 Madness post on its own. Hopefully I can find Toola Roola sometime soon.
So, at first I was VERY skeptical of the authenticity of this mlp. But after a little research I guess this pony is really a my little pony. Although, I find it hard to part with $1500 for 1 single pony, even as beautiful as she maybe. I am not sure what her symbol is, maybe someone can clarify that for me :) So if you are a die hard collector and have been drooling over this pony so much a mop wouldn’t help at this point, cruise on over the the MLPTP and PM the owner.
The Newborn Cuties are here and causing a stir in the pony community. Most collectors seem excited about them and those who are still straddling the fence, are slowing being draw in by the powers of cuteness. As for myself, the Newborn Cuties are starting to compel me. I haven’t really been interested in much of what Hasbro has to offer of late. Ponyville was interesting for a short while and the who 25th anniversary line is beginning to get on me nerves. However, the Newborn Cuties are increasing my interest. I would like to see them in person-a dangerous activity no doubt. Ultimately, I think Hasbro has woven a good thread with the Newborn Cuties.

Might just be me, but the 25th Annaversery Pony line is starting to rub me the wrong way. I don’t mean the G1 collector and rainbow releases. I mean that re-issueing of the current core 7 or whatever. Hasbro keeps putting out same verisons of ponies with a single added accesory.
Seriously?
I just find it reminesent of the Simpsons “Malibu Stacy” when they brought out the same doll, only with a new hat! No?
I mean whats the point? Perhaps Im thinking too much from the perspective of a collector, but I don’t think little girls are that dense either. Why not just come out with an acessory line or something? One of the things I applude Hasbro on is their creativity and respect for collectors, but I think they are falling a bit short of that lately.

I think I might be getting old. When i look at new toys, I start thinking how back in my day, toys were simpler and how you had to walk 5 miles in the snow to get them. Well ok, minus the 5 miles and the snow. But I’m getting increasingly disenfranchised with the toys of today’s generation; especially my little pony. I still collect them, but some of the magic is wearing off. My little pony is no longer the magical and whimsical world where ponies could talk. More and more, MLP’s are becoming human. The adventures they encounter are mundane and the once magical world of Ponyland has become the modern reality of Ponyville.
What happened? Where has all the magic and imagination gone? The toys of today’s generation do all the imagining for kids. Everything lights ups, makes sounds, moves, and talks with the valley lingo made popular by shallow idols and celebrities. Toys are also becoming to real. Ponyville being no exception. Ponyville ponies live in a world that mimics our own and are now able to move around on two legs. A colorful, happy shadow of our own reality. How sad. Kids live in the real world enough everyday, why does their make believe world have to be the same?
Einstein once said, “Imagination is more important that knowledge.” Einstein is also considered a genius, meaning that his ideas and thoughts are held to a higer standard than most. If Einstein places importance on imagination, then why not the rest of us. Are the toys of today’s generation not a reflection of what society places value on? How sad that so many toys are become less like gateways for the imagination and more like tools of reality.
Play is also regarded as the most important part of a childs development. But toys are not allowing for play, they are allowing practice for the grown up world. Without the opportunity to dream and imagine, childern will only learn to mimic what is supposed to be done, instead of thinking for themselves. An entire generation of my little pony collecters and their creative pursuites with MLPs is a testiment to the imaginative play and magic of older toys. What will the world of Ponyville inspire in today’s generation?
Children are not giving must of a choice either. They are bombarded with an onslaught of new toys and they compettion of the toys companies. There is not much of an alternative. The saddest part of all, is that there is no need to make things popular and trendy. A while back i was sharing some ponies at work with a fellow pony collector. I both an 80’s my little pony and a 00’s one. The 80’s pony was a raggedy baitly pony, while the 00’s was new. While showing them to my cowoker, little had caught sight of they ponies and was spellbound. I handed her both ponies, but she reached for the 80’s pony. A marked up, hair chopped, baity Peachy held more magic for that little girl than the band new sparkling 00’s pony. What the hell happpend to My Little Pony.

I have seen a few of these over the years, but I don’t know how much I like them. While browsing on ebay I came across this Spanish Version of Blue Belle:
I guess she is kinda cute… in a fakie pony kind of way. But paying $199 for this pony? I think I will pass. Watch a year or two from now I will be dying to have this pony and kick myself in the butt for this post lol

I have a weakness for Brazilian ponies, I don’t know which are my favorite… Brazilian or Greek. But what I like even more then Brazilian ponies, are Brazilian rainbow ponies. I didn’t know much about the Brazilian rainbows until lateley and then I came across a post on the MLP arena by Vettafromm where she posted this image:
Now I am on a mission to collect all of these rare little jems… I hope my pocket book is ready for it! Does anyone know the English translations of their names? I am obsessed.

I finally singed up for the MLP arena… I know I know after years of looking and I JUST NOW sign up? Well most of you don’t know me, but I have been collecting MLP online for 10 years! Which brings me to the point of my post today, customs. I ADORE customs, and currently looking for an amazing custom artist to make a few for me. So while browing custom ponies, I came upon these three Helados customs. These are the lickety split verients from Argentina, and if it wasn’t the holidays and had the $70 in my pocket, they would have been mine!
Nibbles is the artist of these wonderful customs (taking any orders?
). She has done an AMAZING job, I can’t wait to see what she creates next.

I have been hard at work this holiday season, and here is the fruit of my labor:
Yepp that is a Cotton Cady Ornament you see there. I have decided to start selling my creations. You can order one at $10/each or a set of 6 for $50 (thats a savings of $10!). Each pony is made to order. So please allow a week for creation time. What is great about these is you can use them to decorate after the holidays are over :) To order please email me at:

Over the weekend while browsing endlessly on eBay I came across this lovely auction: My Litte Pony -HASBRO 1983. It was hard to miss considering it is a featured auction. Now why am I posting about this auction? Oh maybe because its due to the fact this obviously uninformed person has a NSS Sundance listed for $99.00!
Here is the thing, not only is she overpriced… shes not in that great of shape, as seen below.
Its obvious this seller isn’t a MLP collector (and if he/she is, shame on you!), they also have a Greek Blossom listed as the rarest pony of all going for $99.00 as well. So here I come to my main point. Not a MLP collector but want to sell some you found on eBay? My advise to you is to research the pony you are trying to sell and when in doubt ask a collector, we are usually more then happy to help. The more informed you are the higher chance your item will sell.
